  • Subject: RPG/RPT Compiler Limitations .. CPF6301

good day all

I am changing a pgm for a vendor - a RPGIII / RPT program

I have run into what would appear to be a compiler limitation.
and, the vendor will not accept converting the pgm to ILE <yet>

The program passes thru the initial stages just fine, then bombs trying to
generate the code.

CPF 6301 - Intermediate representation of program (IRP) contains 19 errors

I have reduced the number of error to 19 by removing some of their
redundant code,
and streamlining some code, but cannot get the number below 19 errors without
removing my original code. <kind of, run out of basic "safe" changes>

Any ideas ???

thanks in advance

kevin
