If I need to accept data from a remote source and do something with it
right away, I first think about writing a socket server and client.

It seems like years ago there was an API that could be called as a part of
client access to load (or at least read?) a data queue. Perhaps someone
more up on their client access could help.

I don't think I would allow anyone to remote exec programs via FTP or REXEC
for security reasons.

Rich
