1)  I don't really see this as an RPG issue.  I've got some idea's in mind.
You might want to try midrange-l instead of RPG400-L.

Is there a way to tell the AS400 a file as been received on a separate
server and is ready for processing?  I have a customer who will be sending
me data via FTP to an NT Server.  Once the file is on the server I would
like it to send something to the AS400 to tell it data has arrived so the
AS400 can retreive the data and begin running the jobs. Any ideas?
