Arvind,
Wow. This may be an artifact of the language barrier, but I urge you to be
a bit more patient. The people who answer questions on the list are not
simply waiting around for people to ask them questions: they are busy
working on projects for their employer... It's considered polite to not
answer unless one can make a contribution. If you got no answer, perhaps no
one has the answer to give you? I have never tried to use DDM in
multiformat logicals, so I attempted it out of curiosity...

I presume you have tried combining the PF and DDMF on one logical and
received CPD5701 "Combination of physical files and DDM files not allowed"
like I did. So you already know that you cannot combine PF and DDMF in the
same logical file. Therefore, you must be looking for alternatives:
o Add the DDM files and logic to your application
o Use a command key to jump to a new "display history" program.
o Use SQL and RDB to connect to both machines at the same time.

Multiformat logical files are "old" technology, designed to help S/36 people
to migrate to the AS/400. As such, IBM consistently pressed developers not
to use them except for temporary conversion efforts. I would personally
advise you to re-write your application so that you can eliminate the use of
multiformat logicals. Having such a large change in your database will be a
good reason to undertake this task.

Best of luck,
