He's got some applications where the fields he's looking for may vary
based on who the user is, what the manufactured item is, what part of the
manufacturing process is involved, etc. There are a number of ways to go
at this, but he was intrigued by the thought that he could just create a
table on the fly and then delete it when he's done. I don't think he wants
to create a table for every possibility.

otoh, I don't know much about cursors and views yet, so yes I will look 
into them. Thanks!
