Yes you are correct, query only uses the sysval QDATE. I've tried putting a
jobd with a job date specified there, then using JOBD on the submit job and
it still doesn't work. One could suggest also Query Management which allows
the importing of the specified report layout, and then using QM to load the
date into the headings.

Some people have suggested the job date is important here, but the help
text says that &DATE in QUERY/400 is the system date.  I suspect the
date will match the system date regardless of any job date.

Using some tricks in SQL instead of QUERY/400 would be my only answer.
Store the date at the beginning of the program then add it to the header
in the SQL as a parameter.
