Bob,

Wouldn't it be safer to use the Bypass Signon feature, which automatically
uses the same user profile that is used to make the connection?  It's an
option in the session configuration.  It does require the AS/400 system
value QRMTSIGN to be *VERIFY, which is not the default, but I don't think
that that is a terribly dangerous setting.  I get the willies when I think
of hardcoding a user profile name and password in clear text in an autostart
macro.
