Hi Jonathon,

Two ways come to mind, not sure how suitable they are for what you want to do:

1. In an RPGLE program define the file as USROPN and use OPEN - OVRDBF(via
QCMDEXC) - CLOSE to process the members one at a time.

2. Create a logical using the DTAMBRS parameter to base one logical file member
across more than one of the physical file members. If the selected members need
to be determined at run-time, this could be done in a CL wrapper, or maybe even
as above using QCMDEXC? You would probably be best doing a RMVM follwed by a
ADDLFM, and could supply the program with the list of members to be included.
Have never done it myself, but I think it should be feasable.

Hello,

Does anyone knows how to retrieve multiple members from a PF file at the same
time
using RPGLE and SQL ?

Ex:
          If File A contain 10 members and i wanted to retrieve 3 members at the
same time.

Thank you in advance,
Jonathan
