You always have options.  Some are just better than others.  I've played with all the options.  None come close to RPG except maybe Java Servlets.  They would be great if you didn't have to worry about websphere and all the obscure setup and maintenence involved. 
 
I'd be interested in hearing what options you are referring to.  Kind of left me wondering with your post.  <bg>
 
And the answer "Java, because of encapsulation, inheritence and polymorphism" is not a good answer.  ;)
