As an "ex" Cobol guy who has turned to this list a few times in the past for
help on RPG (usually starting with "Here's another dumb question? <Cobol
statement> How do I do this in RPG?"), I'll help if I can. Send me a sample
of the RPG code (or just pseudo code) and I'll convert it for you.

I am an RPG developer and I have not used COBOL in the past. Can anyone tell
me how to write a basic COBOL program. An example would be how to compile a
COBOL program that uses a physical or logical file. Thanks.
