Prompt the SQLRPGLE member with a 14 and hit F10. Read up on this
parameter

 Close SQL cursor . . . . . . . . *ENDMOD *ENDMOD, *ENDACTGRP

Is this a dynamic call?
Bound Call ?
What activation is it running in?

Is there a SQL program somewhere above this in the stack?

Hit F1 on this parameter and read the help.

Well.  the program has the close coded as such...

C/EXEC SQL CLOSE DAT01_A501
C/END-EXEC

yet, the job keeps these files/odp's open <see below>

                      Member/    Record     File   I/O   ----Open---
Relative
File       Library    Device     Format     Type  Count  Opt Shr-Nbr
Record
FIL005       DBTEST72   FIL005                LGL       0  I   NO
FIL00501   DBTEST72   FIL00501   FORMAT0001 PHY       3  I   NO
FIL005      DBTEST72   FIL005                LGL       0  I   NO

FIL00503   DBTEST72   FIL00503   FORMAT0001 PHY       1  I   NO

These odp's are not defined in the program F-specs.

Subject: SQL - Not Closing Files

Hi All.

Does anybody have a "kwik-fix" plse??

I am trying to maintain a program someone else wrote,
and it is my first exposure to SQLRPGLE.

We have a program, and there are times of the day that we close the files,
but keep programs active.  However, this SQL program keeps SQL files open.

Any idesa on how I can close them???

any ideas are much appreciated.

thaks
kmh
