We were in the midst of a discussion on what platform most web sites run
(some sort of PC hardware and Apache). I mentioned that RPG doesn't run on
a PC (thinking of writing CGI apps) when Brad made a great point: "visual
RPG runs on a PC and does CGI. So there is RPG on a PC."

Has anybody on the list used either flavour of Visual RPG to serve up web
pages a la e-RPG? Is it possible to bind your V(a)RPG program to PC based C
libraries like I can with ILE RPG/400 and AS/400 C libraries? Do I need to?
I've never done client-side disk access beyond simple stuff. I haven't
tried reading/writing a stream file or hooking up to a socket...

Time to go looking at VaRPG again!
