All any craftsperson will tell you, you need more than one tool in your toolbox.

JAVA has lost its sizzle as the -last language you will ever need to learn-.
Why?  Have you ever tried to print a report with it?

IMHO, the only programming language that will carry you from PC to mainframe, 
and
all points in between, is COBOL.  The news media has been reporting the death of
COBOL for 25 years!
