Hello Sean,

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com:80/cgi-bin/bookmgr/BOOKS/QB3AMG03/11.3?ACTION=MA
TCHES&REQUEST=QUSCMDLN&TYPE=FUZZY&searchTopic=TOPIC&searchText=TEXT&searchInde
x=INDEX&rank=RANK&ScrollTOP=FIRSTHIT#FIRSTHIT

That reference is for UIM support of a command line window. I don't think the
UIM CMDLINE dialogue command invokes QUSCMDLN, rather I think it invokes
QUICLINE.

If you look at the program stack while the SEU command line is active you will
see that QUSCMDLN is not there ... therefore they must have their own
interface. Also notice that QUSCMDLN displays a title of "Command" but the
SEU version displays "System Command".

Which is also true. Many years ago I sent code to the MIDRANGE-L (in response
to a comment by Mark Lazarus on 13th Dec 95 -- now is that raising the dead or
what!?!) that used UIM, CL, and C to create a replacement for QUSCMDLN that
supported a user specified starting line and adjusted the command window for
wide screens. The C code is about 10 lines and could easily be replaced with
RPG IV. The MIDRANGE archives don't go back that far but I could probably
dredge up the code if anyone is interested.

Regards,
Simon Coulter.
