RE: Converting to upper case

     Good one John, you stole my idea..... :) Most of the other 
     solutions involved the RPG opcod XLATE, but the problem I see with 
     that approach is codepage support. XLATE won't work properly in all 
     codepages. Does SQL?

How about this
     
update FILE set FIELD  = upper(FIELD)

I am looking for an easy way to convert an alpha field to all upper case 
characters.  anyone have any suggestions?
