Subject: uploading file through FTP to as/400

Hi Guys,
I have a query regarding file upload from PC to AS/400 in the absence of Client Access interface. Through FTP it can be done as the Excel data can be  copied in a flat file. The problem is that the character data in different columns get merged into single field value.

I need a suggestion with respect to how can I upload the data in various columns into different fields of an AS/400 file.

Regds....
Jaya
