yup...

 substr( digits ( <numeric_expression) , from, to)

be careful with the digits function... it returns strings of specific sizes
based on the parameter type... no sign or decimal point is included... it's
just digits.

If it fits in 5 or less, the length is 5 characters, if it fits in 10 or
less it is 10 characters (integer types) for larger integers it is 19.

If the number has decimals, then the length is the total length of the
number. ie. for a packed decimal (6,2) the string length is 6 and again, no
decimal point or sign is included.
