Mark, what I did in a similar situation was to use the *AUTOENT keyword
and when the radio button is clicked I process any issues that you
mention. If the person can't make that choice the program just uses the
saved value and sets the radio button group back like it was. S/he can
click their mouse all they want, nothing appears to happen.

        Subject: Protect Radio Buttons?

In trying to use Radio Buttons (SNGCHCFLD), there does not appear to be a
way to protect them and at the same time display that one was selected for
the purpose of allowing a user to VIEW, but not change, the selections.
Once you indicate that a Radio Button was selected, usually by having the
Choice Number in the SNGCHCFLD field, and even if all the Choice Control
values are 4 (unavailable), the system still allows you to put the CURSOR
on
and change the selection value of the Radio Button. SNGCHCFLD does NOT
support DSPATR(PR), and it acts like the Selection value is overriding the
CHCCTL availablity value. Being able to VIEW only the results of a
selection is very important to the continued use of this feature.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
