Title: RE: Message subfile in a window

What type of display device are you using? If you're using PC with
emulation, the problem might be your emulation program. We saw
similar results when using window formats with message lines
appearing on line 24. When we switched from Rally! to PC5250, this
     behavior went away.

Hi all,

I'm having a problem displaying an error message (from a message file) at the
bottom of a window. I did read about the keyword *MSGLIN but am still
experiencing problems. The error message still appears on line 24. There is a
keyword in my DDS  "SFLMSGRCD(24)" but when I remove this, the DSPF won't
compile. I did try re-defining the line number (ie  SFLMSGRCD(11) but when the
formatted error message is sent to the screen, it appears "under" the window &
not along the bottom line of the window.

There are no constants anywhere along the bottom line of the window and I have
the keyword "OVERLAY" defined on the window as well as the message control
record format.

Any suggestions ?

Regards
John.
