Thanks for posting this - I don't visit the web based forums much and would
have missed this one for sure.  
The posters in favour of eliminating GOTO all use an alternate spelling,
typically "LEAVE"  So, they aren't objecting to multiple exit points, they
just want the spelling modernised!  I favour keeping GOTO (encourage as much
migration as possible!) and eliminating the semicolon (how does the compiler
find the next line after a missing semicolon?  They must already have some
alternate means for finding the next statement.)

If I had $100.00 to spend, my choices would be:
Keep free form "goto" $90
Eliminate semicolon $10
Ability to participate in the compiler design discussion: $Priceless!
