J won't do anything for you.  He'll still blow out at 18 instead of 19. If 
need be he could use an editW instead and not have the left-most comma. 
Trim works too, unless there really is 13,2 values. 

But gosh, use the N,O,P, & Q.  The world is coming to rely on left-side 
minuses and we already have an image of stodgy old conventions and 
layouts.

That N threw me.  For my reference I have a piece of paper which came from
an old O spec form taped to my mod.  I had to look up N.  It means similar
to J, but with a floating minus sign instead.  What is happening is that
the floating minus sign determines that the last zero is insignificant and
gets rid of it.  I would suggest using J instead.

Can anyone tell me why I'm missing a decimal place from my report?
prtotalcst is 18 char and prints as (for example) ?1,234.1 (1 decimal)
totalcost is 13,2


c                   eval      prtotalcst = %editc(totalcost:'N':*cursym)
