Well think about it. You must be a contractor, which means you better be pretty
good at your job or you won't get any references for your next job(s). You
didn't score a '5', which means you don't know everything, but the 4.71 score
indicates that you know your stuff very well, or at least you are intelligent
enough to know where to find the answers to your questions, just like in the
real programming world. Make Sense? I like the open book test, because it's like
Brad Stone said, "Life is an Open Book Test" (something like that). I know I
will not hesitate to refer to a book if I have any doubts at all. I've been
programming with RPG-IV for about 2-1/2 years now, and I passed with a 3.3. I
thought that was a good score for me, especially since I've never used the *PSSR
routines, and I had 3 or 4 questions on the error routines, and I've never used
pointers, which I had only one question. Though I admit that I took the test
while I was at work, and putting out fires at the same time. (I was only
interrupted two times.) I thought the questions that I had on my test were
reasonable questions, not too hard, not too easy.

My 2 cents worth.. Have a nice day and Congratulations!

I recently took the certification test for RPG IV programmers at
BrainBench.com. I'm wondering what the members of this list think about the
test. I know some of you have taken it. Is it a good measure of a RPG IV
programmer's ability? Is it too easy?

I don't put myself in the same category as a lot of people on this list and
I passed with a 4.71 out of 5 on the first try. I feel it could be more
challenging. Don't get me wrong. I was glad to pass, but if I had the know
how that some of you do I would like a test that proves I'm ahead of the
pack.

What are your thoughts?
