Mike,

FTP does the EBCDIC/ASCII translation by default so I don't believe that is
where your problem is.  I don't have any knowledge of ACCESS so I can't add
anymore to your solution than that above.  I would suggest going to an MS
list and see if anyone there has had that problem.  Or at least, try posting
this to the Midrange-l list.  This really isn't the proper forum for your
post.

                I'm using FTP to transfer a AS/400 database file to a
                PC access database file.  When I FTP it to the access
                database file it seems to work Okay.  However, when I
                try and open the access database file it give me the
                following error message,  unrecognized database
                format. 

                I believe it's because my not converting from Hex to
                ASCII format.  If this is the reason is there an easy
                way to do the conversion before I FTP the file?
