Good luck, Jamie!

In speech, it could be simpler.

"eval myfieldname equals string singlequote"

"string" might express that i want a string, forcing enclosing '.

and "singlequote" means i want a singlequote, i know what i'm doing, so
give it to me, and is translated to a pair of single quotes that simply
mean i want a single single quote.

So i'd see
EVAL myfield = ''''

:-)

Is it clearer now?

So ''''' ('5 single quotes) have to lead to an error, if the compiler /
syntax checker is halfways smart...
