Richard:

I agree totally with what you have said but in their defense, there is quite
a delay from the time you post before the message actually reaches the list.
I have noticed that several times when replying to questions on this list.
Usually, by the time my post reaches the list, there are already several
others ahead of me.  And if the question is a simple one, there are likely
to be many replies before any of them actually show up on the list.
However, I do agree that we should make sure that the question hasn't
already been answered, if possible, to avoid providing a duplicate solution.

If there are any subscribers to this list that haven't yet replied to this
thread with the suggestion. "write your own tool using DSPFFD as input",
please send in your suggestion on Thursday July 27th.  I will ignore all the
mail I received from this list on that day.

It isn't that hard to check ahead - look at other replies to a thread before
posting.  If there are already 30 or 40 suggestions just like yours, you are
not contributing to the community knowledge.  Save your breath and give the
rest of us a break.
