Good idea.  However the A in position 6 for DDS is obsolete.  You 
can use it, but it is not necessary.  In fact it is a pain when using 
SEU.  For example, if you create a new line then your cursor positions 
to the first filled in field on the record above.  If you use the silly 
A, then your cursor positions in column 6.  If you don't then it will 
position in the column in which you really want to do work.

You create an RPG program,  Read in an outfile of the DSPFFD command,
process the records,  Output records to a source file member putting an "A"
in position 6,
and  ..........
