Andrew,
Here's an example of a simple CLP that called from an overnight pgm to
display the job locks when a record could not be allocated because some job
ahd it locked. The pgm does a DSPJOB and inserts the name of the calling pgm
in the USRDTA parameter.

             PGM PARM(&OBJNAM &OBJTYP)
             DCL VAR(&OBJNAM) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(10)
             DCL VAR(&OBJTYP) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(7)
             DCL VAR(&KEYVAR) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(4)
             DCL VAR(&SENDER) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(80)
             DCL VAR(&PGMQ) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(10)

 GETPGM: SNDPGMMSG MSGID(CPI2401) MSGF(QCPFMSG) TOPGMQ(*PRV) +
                          KEYVAR(&KEYVAR)
             RCVMSG PGMQ(*PRV) MSGKEY(&KEYVAR) SENDER(&SENDER)
             CHGVAR VAR(&PGMQ) VALUE(%SST(&SENDER 56 10))

             OVRPRTF FILE(QPDSPOLK) OUTQ(QEZDEBUG) USRDTA(&PGMQ)
             WRKOBJLCK OBJ(&OBJNAM) OBJTYPE(&OBJTYP) OUTPUT(*PRINT)
             MONMSG CPF0000

             ENDPGM

Cheers, Peter

I have program (A) which calls program (C)

And

Program (B) which calls program (C).

When program C is executed (and without using a parameter) how can I
determine which program made the call.

Thanks
