Some posts started me to desire a PC based editor.

I downloaded the evaluation version of Code/400 and the "basis part",
whatever it is called, but not Visual RPG. (V3R2M3)

I think i should have loaded Visual RPG too, as the installation warned me
some hundred times that there was something missing. (Warning 016). I was
so keen that i pressed the enter button that often.

Then, a little crash, but i could continue and so did the installation
program.

When making the connection, this program was the only one i ever saw that
had a field for IP-address that was too short. "111.111.111" is all that
fits in. OK, i used the system name.

Then, the progarm told me that 2 PTF's were mising. I installed them,
nothing wrong with it.

Then i was told that i had a current library QGPL in my user profile.
Bullshit. I had *CRTDFT in it. I changed it, the program was happy.

In the open box, i wasn't able to open any source on the AS/400. The help
didn't enlighten me. Error messages are error numbers, but help is
available and jumps to the bookmark, wow.

I did the whole process two times. As there are clever people recommending
it, i couldn't believe it.

In the meantime, i removed this rubbish. Almost every game demo behaved better.

I'm confessed that the real product is much better, but i will never know...

The time i spent is worth more than 0.02 Euro...
