Count this as a strong vote _against_ this request. I would be surprised (and a
bit disappointed) if IBM did this for the following reasons.

1) SEU is out-of-date and has outlived its usefulness. There are _much_ better
alternatives.

2) In V4R2 IBM added the ability for you to add you own line commands - rather
than waiting for IBM it would make much more sense for you to write it yourself.
News and Midrange have both published articles on how to do this.

3) In the latest announce IBM stated that a new package of AD tools based on
Websphere Studio would be available in V4R5. In addition to Studio, this
package includes VAJava, VARPG and Code/400 - unless the price is crazy (and I
don't think it will be) this will be a great way for shops to update their
development tools. This way you can try various ways of moving forward (a
little Java, a little VARPG, etc.) without having to commit completely to one
path. Given this package, why would IBM spend money on encouraging them to stay
where they are.

For those _not_ moving to V4R5, a little bird tells me that we can expect to see
significant pricing actions on VARPG/Code as an interim measure.
