Re: Retrieve system time

We are starting the new guy on RPGIII because of the canned 
software issue.  That, and most training material assumes 
knowledge of RPGIII.  I was helping him on a new program that 
he wrote in RPGIII.  It is so primitive going back!  I don't 
do a whole lot of maintenance programming.  He asked me when 
I would use RPGIII.  My reply - at gunpoint.  He asked about 
'quick-and-dirty'.  My reply - at gunpoint.

What really galls me about a third party product is one that 
comes out with a new Client/Server release and as you're 
installing it you see 'Now converting to 64bit RISC'.

I guess that would be one more reason to start using RPGIV.  I have seen no
rational reason not to switch from RPGIII to RPGIV (other than "It's a 3rd
party package and we don't own it.")
