We are looking into this solution with GREAT enthusiasim!! The chance to
use an API and subprocedure - not just to try it out - but with a practical
use!! Our shop is about 70% ILE RPG (if its new its ILE - if you touch it
/convert it!!) with service pgms, modules and bound pgms and other good
stuff. But unfortunatley sometimes you need a reason to act progressively!!
Thanx muchly to Mike!!

advice???

Katherine,
If i remember correctly, there was an article in NEWS/400 regarding
registering exception handlers. You would need to use ILE programs and
each program would need to have some standard code inserted.
Then when the job is ended, you gain control back in your program to handle
closing of files etc & signoff.

Mike

Further to my response, the NEWS400 article is from March 1999 regarding RPG
Exception Handlers, .
