Looks good. Is this on a different machine at a different release? Are
there any compiler directives telling it to compile at a previous release?
Is it SQLRPGLE where the other is RPGLE?

Subject: Error on %EDITC

Hello,

I am receiving the following error on the compile. I have done coding like
this before in other programs, and have never received this error. That is
what confuses me the most. I have looked at my code in the other programs
and there is no difference.

   752 C                   EVAL      %SUBST(D3PARNT1:1:16) =

   753 C                                  %EDITC(SQLFILEKEY:'Z')

======>                                aaaaaa           bccc

*RNF0604 20 a 047900 The token is not valid; token is ignored.

*RNF0312 20 b 047900 A right parenthesis is expected but is not found.

*RNF5377 20 c 047900 The end of the expression is expected.

Any help would be grateful.
Thanks in advance.

Richard
