I don't want to bore you all by posting this again, but, with all the posts
wonmdering what the large objects are, these should help. The redbook can
be downloaded for free and it explains everything from what they are to how
to use and access to what you can and cannot do. The only bda news is that
all the examples are in C. There's a reason for that but you should be able
to understand what is going on.

Just to clarify so that there is no confusion. V4R4 is the earliest release
for this support. You must use SQL to define them and you cannot use DDS or
any other native interface that I know about.

Please read this white paper so that you are clear on V4R4 enhancements:

http://www.as400.ibm.com/developer/bi/bipaper.html

You can also check the AS/400 DB2 homepage for further documentation:

http://www.as400.ibm.com/db2/db2main.htm

And, please read this redbook:

DB2 UDB for AS/400 Object Relational Support (SG24-5409) at
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/
