Hello Fabrizio,

You need one of the Work Management APIs. They are documented in the OS/400
Work
Management API section of the System Programmer's Reference.

The List Active Subsystems (QWCLASBS) API puts a list of currently active
subsystems in
a user space.

The Retrieve Subsystem Information (QWDRSBSD) API fills a variable with the
details for
a specific subsystem. The value at offset 28 shows the status as either
*ACTIVE or
*INACTIVE.

Both APIs can be processed from CL but would be eaiser from a HLL. You could
easily
create a command that would simplify the interface for CL.

PS. Your English is fine. Sorry for my poor Italian!

Regards,
Simon Coulter.
