Date calculations are easy using "date type" fields. If your dates come
in numeric or alpha fields, you can move them to auxiliary work area to
do your calculations.

Sample:

D Aux s d

C *YYMD0 Move NumDate Aux
C SubAddDur 7:*D Aux
C *YYMD0 Move AUx NumDate

Before the first Move it will be a good idea to use Test(d) to make
sure you have a valid date.

In a new application define date types in the DDS.
