RE: external *PRTF (a voice from the stone age)

I've snipped out the parts that no sensible person, or even I, would argue
with, but I've left the one that doesn't gibe with my experience.  

I've seen several instances of reports using externally defined with printer
files that had serious problems printing correctly on different models of
IBM printers.  The problems had to do with page breaks and margins (defined
in the printer file along with the page size.)  The reports didn't use AFPDS
functions and were columns of numbers with a page heading, column headings,
and a footer line.
