What do you mean an unknown animal like the platypus? Here in Australia it
decorates our 20 cent coin, and is a big deal! But actually, it might not be
too bad. It is of a unique order (monotrene), sharing that with echidnas. It
has been around since the dinosaurs, but still survives. It looks cute and
cuddly, but has poison fangs on its hind leg that can kill a small dog, and
tends to live a solitary life

     - Unique
     - Around since Dinosaurs
     - Potentially dangerous (espeacially now we have pointers)
     - Out there by itself.
Sums up RPG perfectly! ;-)

And wombat? I don't know how a crocodile hunter would ever find a wombat. We
don't actually have this show in Australia, but if thay find wombats in
crocodile territory, I'm not surprised. It wouldn't last 5 minutes.
Imagine alligator hunters in Florida finding a Beaver from Nebraska, and you get
the idea!!

Guys,

you've got it all wrong....it HAS to be an animal that nobody has heard of
or is likely to find in the scientific literature, nor one that anyone is
talking about to any extent, except, of course, those few
evangelicals that like the animal...kinda like the snail darter or
spotted owl....:)

Given this, I still vote platypus...:)
