We have a couple of different ICF programs here communicating over APPN as
well as X.25. If you have any specific questions I will do my best to
answer. All of our ICF programs are written in RPGLE. Most are tied to
Data Queues.

Subject: ICF FILES

I am needing to do some ICF processing to send a file to Wachovia bank. I
have not previously done any ICF processing. I am using V4R4 and have
downloaded the necessary manuals.

Do I need an IBM communications package installed on the AS/400 (maybe IBM
Communication Utilities 5769-CM1 or another one)? If anyone is doing ICF and
can answer this quesition, I would really appreciate it.

Sincerely,
