Jim, if you do rename, consider using a name besides the Company name. The 
AS/400 is part of the www, even if once removed from it, and so should 
align with that, imho.  Therefore "Conex" becomes much to valuable to 
assign to that AS/400.  Your servers probably already have a naming 
scheme, so the AS/400 can just fit in there as another server in the 
scheme of Conex.

This is of course, just an opinion.

RTVSYSVAL QSRLNBR would work for us, but only because we
do not "rename" our AS/400's, but call them by their serial number.

I understand there is somewhere you can rename them, and we are
able to use a friendly name in QSNADS but I am not really sure where
that is stored, to be honest.

I would like to know how to get it "named" to the friendly name in
our system, though, so that our sign in screen would have "CONEX" instead
of our serial number.
