Not that I do not see the enormity of the project, but it has been my experience
that the best 'business'
systems are created by the best 'technical' people. I don't mean just your
simple code cutter, I mean people who can see the whole picture, business needs,
plus COMPLETELY understand system design techniques and standards and COMPLETELY
understand the business. I have seen standards that are nothing but obstacles
to
be overcome, and , rarely, I have seen standards that are a joy to work with.
Setting the techniques and standards can make or break the project and I do not
volunteer to be involved, the arguments are endless.
