Mark, FREE was an opcode added to allow a CALLed program to be ended from
the calling program in the event the CALLed program had RETRNed without LR
seton during execution. It was at a time when CALLed was a new idea and
the hardware was still limited in ability. It no longer serves a purpose.

Can anyone tell me what to use instead of the FREE opcode. We are
converting to RPGIV from III and are getting conversion errors stating
FREE is no longer a good opcode. Any assistance would be GREATLY
appreciated.

TIA
