Re: Objects and Source

Surely you want to re-think this method. We apply the savchgobj backup daily on 
ANYTHING that has changed. God forbid the whole system crashes and you have to 
go to disaster recovery, using the last FULL system save plus the latest 
SAVCHGOBJ backup as well as the SAVSECDTA also done daily.

I know this wasn't directed toward me, but I always subscribed 
to the user objects should never start with a Q theory. That 
was until our operations guy said it makes his backup job much 
easier because he can savchgobj on all Q* files nightly.  Lost 
a source member in my rpgsrc, next day I changed to qrpgsrc.  
That was a long time ago, and I can't think of any problem that 
it has caused.

Just out of curiosity, why do you start all of your source files with
the letter "Q"?

Is it so that they all appear together in an object listing, or
a WRKOBJ/WRKOBJPDM list?  or is there a better reason?
