So you are saying that I could define the field as null capable and then
nothing would print? I thought I tried that once and ran into another
problem, but I will have to test again to be sure.
Does DSPF and PRTF handle null values (or null capable fields) o.k.?

I question 'the absence of a date is stored as 0001-01-01'. Isn't
it stored as *null instead? Does *null print this way? Or is this
the effort of picking some arbitrary date to indicate the lack thereof?
