Yes it is possible by using the C qsort function from RPG IV or by using the
sort API (can't recall the name)

It can't be done (easily) in RPG/400 without having to write the entire sort
routine "by hand" - and since you have to use the get and put APIs it would
probably crawl.  You really need RPG IV - V3R2 or later and that allows you to
use the C functions.  I can send you a sample if you e-mail me directly.
