RE: Blocked records

Yes, "ovrdbf filewithlockedrecord waitrcd(*immed)".  This will return an
error for a locked record instantly.  You then can check the program status
data structure to retrieve the error and the job info of who has the record
locked.

When a program tries to read a record that is blocked, it waits a minute
and then gives an error message.  Is there a way to get the error
inmediatly, and under my program's control, so I can notify the user in
a easier to understand (for them) message?
