I was just recently tasked with creating stored procedures for a new 
server based application with the data stored on the AS400 (host)

basically, we added an sql statement to return the data to the 
calling VB programs.

the basics are:

write an sqlrpg program that collects data and stores it into a data 
structure keeping count of the number of occurances.

after all of the data is collected execute the following sql 
statements to return the data to the calling client application.

 C+ SET RESULT SETS ARRAY :DataStructure FOR :Counter ROWS
