In many cases I suspect that the public answer will be small hiccup.  The
reality closer to Big hiccup. We will probably never know though because the
companies that screw up are not going to be in any hurry to tell their
shareholders what they failed to deal with the problem for fear of being sued
and/or having the wrath of the shareholders descend upon them.

It will be just the same as all those firms who appeared in various magazine
articles etc. telling how their "Ancient" AS/400 was being replaced by "Modern"
NT solutions never fessed up to the subsequent failure of the NT thing and the
reintroduction of the AS/400.

Punishment of the innocent and rewarding of the guilty will probably be the
order of the day as normal.
