  • Subject: New Opcodes - %SETCELL

Hey Hans & Barb.

How about some useful built-ins for things we can't do today?

Like being able to update an Excel spread sheet's cells?

If I have a .XLS Excel spread sheet on the IFS, I would like to
be able to read/update cells in it. I was reading how easy it
is to this in Lotus Script. How about helping us with API's in
conjunction with new built-in functions where I could read
(say) Column A of a spread sheet(maybe Part Number),
and Update Column C (maybe on-hand quantity).??

Maybe a %GETCELL and %SETCELL ??

We need some NEW functionality in addition to
giving us numerous new ways of being able to
do things we could already do.

IFS Stream File affinity for example.

Lotus Notes .NSF file support would be
right up there also. Reading/Updating it?

It should be easy with the CF's in place Right?

Just dreaming I guess.
