As I noted above, the setup as to which compiler is called is a function of the
CPP not the compiler as such.  While what you suggest is certainly possible it
could involve a significant amount of work since the current CPP reads no
source, and certainly does not contain the required parsing and syntax checking
logic required to handle the H specs. That would have to be duplicated into the
CPP.

It is not that it is impossible, but the payback for the amount of work involved
is pretty low.  Who knows, maybe Hans will find himself with a spare weekend one
of these days ...... <vbg>
