I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but AFAIK you can't get FTP to do
it.  You can of course using sockets, but then you need your own host
side software too.  (Unless you can hook into and use STRCODE.)

If there is a SITE command or some other option to make source
physical files transfer the date, I'd like to know what it is.
